Lucky Dog Miniature Pinscher

I’m a Lucky Dog… Now

I'm a Lucky Dog by Sara Branmore

Sara Branmore brings to life a lonely Min Pin in I’m a Lucky Dog… Now.

A very pregnant “Mother Min Pin” escapes from her abusive home – known to be on the “wrong side of town” – to a place only marginally better. Mother Min needs to ensure that her unborn puppies will lead a better life. But things don’t always work out as planned.

Tom, an unemployed Construction Foreman and his wife, Rose, have only her part-time income on which to survive. The battle begins over whether they can afford to keep the Min Pin – or not.

Shortly thereafter and much to Tom’s annoyance, Rose falls in love with one of Mother Min’s very special puppies, whom she names Minnie. Meanwhile, Tom is unwittingly falling in love himself…

“I’m a Lucky Dog… Now” takes the reader on Mother Min’s journey from her escape, to having pups, and finally to the pound – and how her daughter, Minnie, avoids a similar fate of living in an unhappy broken household – to find peace, love, and happiness.

One Lucky Dog Indeed

This story is based on a true story. This little dog came strolling onto the author’s property. She was thin, hungry, and had ticks on her ears the size of quarters. No one laid claim to this lovely animal — after canvassing the neighborhood. It begs the question, “How can people be so heartless to abandon their dogs?” Or maybe this clever min pin decided it was time to leave town and find a nicer place to live!

The dog was adopted that week after the local vet gave them their blessing. No embedded tags were found when looking for her previous owners. She now happily runs around on acreage!

Christmas is just around the corner, and now the fate of the dogs are in the hands of Glenmere town’s Animal Shelter.
